11.01.2002, 22:02: Hi. The bank is done, and now I work at lifetouch publishing temporarily (again!). I've been thinking of revamping the site again, but probably not.

06.12.2001, 21:01: So . . . still looking for a real job. Quit UPS, because I became really irritable with only 4 hours of sleep a night. I'm much happier now. Now that my PC is back up and going well, I plan to update my site more frequently . . . wooo, especially with 3d stuff.

14.11.2001, 7:28: Wow, long time no see. I got three jobs since last update. Substitute teacher, temp IT person at belvidere national bank, and a package handler at UPS. These are the fruit of my four years of education.

22.08.2001, 3:00: Yes, I realize a Blog has links to other web sites.

Prepare for a massive new addition, the People Who Should Not Be Famous web site will begin as soon as I learn Perl and MySQL thoroughly.

15.08.2001, 15:14: Yawn. No job, but I've got a connection to one, yo. Maybe. I hope. No calls yet from any of the dozen or so people I applied to last week. On the plus side, I've found a little shop in Roscoe, IL, which sells lots of older, legacy computer equipment. RCR, so the site goes.

Oh, and the Bo. Co. Fair story is getting to be a little bit longer.

03.08.2001, 5:07: Still no job, but on the good side, I finished my story about the Bo. Co. Fair and my visit to New Orleans for New Years, 2000. I will be putting more of it up as time goes on and I get more web-space. As a MS Word document right now, it's 110+ pages and over a meg in size.

I have an appointment for an interview for a job as a package handler at UPS. Maybe I'll get some muscles. Barnes and Noble, the other local place I've had an interview, promised to call me to set up a second interview, but instead called me and told me that they hired someone else. Also drove two hours for an interview for a temp agency for State Farm. I was there twenty minutes. A total waste of time. A four hour drive for them, and I don't even get the e-mailed response I was promised, instead I get some lame form letter from the temp agency saying that, while my credentials were impressive, they had no position for me right then. The local Subway (sub place) is hiring. Maybe . . . if I had a car to pick up an application. If I get the job at UPS, they have tuition assistance. I'm gonna get another Bachelors, maybe in Telecom

23.07.2001, 6:28: Updated Resume. You have no idea how hard it is for a person who graduated with a degree in English to buy a book about how to write a resume, but I did. Ugh.

22.07.2001, 2:34: Had to install Windows 2000 on my PC to keep up with the times and so I could get back on-line. Expect some fun, new 3d-art soon, not to mention my essay on joblessness.

No, I don't have a job yet. I had an interview I drove two hours to for twenty minutes. Ugh.

Oh yeah, and I'm going to fix the site for smaller resolutions.

13.07.2001, 11:35: My PC's Internet access is down. Updates may be sporadic. Sorry.

07.07.2001, 2:22: Went to Madison today where I decided that I would apply to get my MFA or MA in UW Madison's Creative Writing program. That mean's I've got four places I'd like to attend, possibly. The rest are predictable, Cornell, Arizona, Iowa. It's not like I have a chance at any of them, nor could I afford the approx. $160 (US) for application fees. Not to mention the GRE, which costs about $100.

I also redid parts of my resume in the blind and probably dumb hope that, well, I am employable. I plan to write something about my joblessness debacle, of course. It's hard, though, because I don't quite know if it's my fault that I'm unemployable or what.

03.07.2001, 22:38: My parents came home from vacation today in Mexico, where my sister decided to drink some melted ice. Me and my girlfriend had cleaned the house, partly, and . . . nothing else!

03.07.2001, 3:54: Interview went along kind of smoothly, though the interviewer didn't ask the questions I thought she'd ask. I did give her the URL for this site (HI!), so . . .

(Repeating theme ahead) I could go into the porn business, I suppose, but I still have a moral conundrum about that whole affair. I hear you make good money, but there is a horrible side effect.

02.07.2001, 12:58: Today is my interview. Exciting. Not really. Saw A.I. this weekend. It was O.K. Seems to me Speilberg tried really hard to make it a Kubrik film, and it came out pretty much like that but without the anal attention to detail that we know Kubrik for. I.E. E.T. pt. 2.

30.06.2001, 3:15: I have a job interview come Monday, woohoo. It's at a temp agency. I feel really not optimistic about my chances at a successful future. I should just bite the proverbial bullet and offer some services to the lowest common denominator of the human race. I did stop by Manpower today and he said the job market was "Cool," as in Arctic.

At least, though, I have a type of hope. Take the GRE and go to grad school for my writing, which is what I want anyway.

27.06.2001, 3:31: So, I have flooded my region for forty days and nights with resumes, and still no employment, not even a call back, which tells me something is wrong with either the economy, me, or my resume. I hope it's not me.

If no one hires me, I'll just turn off the Internet.

26.06.2001, 03:13:This little thing is called my BLOG! Rock on, Brother Blog. I will be adding lots of links here connected via memes as time goes on, hopefully we're in for some fun stuff.
