| Once I was confused. I felt the weight of everything pressing in on me. I was contained by the world. I decided that the only way to escape would be to make a model of the universe in my head. Which is impossible. The universe is huge and I am small. But. If the universe is built on consistant laws (Note: this implies that the universe was built and, thus, had a beginning, which may not be true) these laws would be echoed in every tiny part of it. By observing the smallest phenomena in the world, particularly those pesky and difficult to systematize human phenomena, I may be able to make the model in my head. And contain the universe. |
